Dr. Andrea Cooper, San Juan College Professor of Anthropology and Dr. David Wesch, San Juan College Assistant Professor of Psychology will present the lecture titled, Race as a Social Construction. Join Dr. Cooper and Dr. Wesch as they discuss the biological perspective that completely negates the entire concept of race and how the concept of race has impacted our society.

This lecture is in support of the One Book, One Community graphic memoir book selection, March. The book chronicles Congressman John Lewis’s early work in the civil rights movement. March engages readers with unforgettable imagery and first-person narration and focuses specifically on the role of young people.
