Coming from a swing, jazz, Great American Songbook and Tin Pan Alley tradition, the Daddies aspired to be worthy of carrying the torch, even as the band members simultaneously strive to create their own modern, iconoclastic version of music. Individuality and defiance have always been part of the band’s DNA, which, in turn, reinforced the band’s rebellious reputation. Cherry Poppin’ Daddies has always prided itself on its craft and musicianship, superior skills that have allowed for excellence in all genres tackled. The dance floor will be open.
