Event Summary

Come join park rangers and experienced birders of Farmington’s Four Corners Bird Club at Chaco Culture National Historical Park for the 120th Audubon Christmas Bird Count! Volunteers will record the number and species of birds they observe, which is then compiled in a national database to be used by scientists. Participants don’t need to be experts, but must be prepared to hike in backcountry areas in winter weather. Plan to bring a lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen and clothes for winter weather. Binoculars, camera, and field guide recommended. Come and enjoy your national park with a fun day of birding!
