Family and Friends - FREE Mental Health seminar

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is conducting a FREE 4-hour seminar for family, friends or significant others who have loved ones with mental Illness. (NOTE -ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) The Family and Friends seminar is led by trained family members with a lived experience of having a loved one with mental illness. In this FREE seminar you will: learn to understand mental illnesses as real, biological illnesses; learn how these illnesses are diagnosed; learn about treatment options; and learn about the very real possibilities for recovery. We will also teach communications strategies for more effectively communicating with an ill loved-one as well has how to go about crisis preparation to be ready for a crisis period.
