FCNS exposes promising undergraduates who are interested in science, technology, mathematics and engineering (STEM) to K-12 teaching experiences in order to help them decide if a teaching career is right for them. San Juan College undergraduates and post-baccalaureate STEM graduates applying to the Alternative Licensure Program who persist in their commitment to STEM teaching, the FCNS program provides a $10,000 scholarship to the Alternative Licensure Program at San Juan College and $100 stipends for undergraduate students participating in activities like the Julia Robinson Math Festival, SJC Fall STEM Expo, STEM sessions at Kids Kollege, and New Mexico Science Fair.
