America's 250 Years Through Navajo Weavings

In recognition of America’s 250th birthday, the Museum of Navajo Art & Culture has gathered a featured collection of 15 historic and contemporary weavings ranging from pictorial to patriotic.
While the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence may have had little resonance in the canyons and mesas of western New Mexico and eastern Arizona, the echoes of American history have been represented by Diné weavers for the 250 years since.
