Every year, Desert View Family Services and Counseling proudly hosts their annual Strides Against Suicide 5K Walk & Run — a powerful day of remembrance, hope, and community. This event honors the lives of those we’ve lost to suicide while standing in support of individuals who have attempted suicide, those who are currently struggling, and the families and friends who walk beside them. Together, we send a clear message: You are not alone.

At Desert View, their mission is simple but urgent — to provide suicide prevention services and compassionate mental health support to everyone in our community. Strides Against Suicide plays a vital role in helping them continue that work.
Funds raised through the 5K directly support lifesaving programs, including:
A 24/7 Helpline for those in crisis
Suicide prevention education and workshops
Grief and suicide loss support services
Peer-to-peer mental health support programs
And other essential behavioral health services

This event is more than a walk or run — it’s a chance to come together, raise awareness, and make a real difference.
