Key points:
Transportation & parking: Free shuttles will run regularly from downtown locations, with a new paid parking option near the park. Internal park shuttles and even tractor rides will help visitors get around.
Activities & entertainment: The festival features live music, cultural performances (including Apache dancers), a 5K race, raft rides (now on the San Juan River), wiener dog races, a duck race fundraiser, a recycled fashion show, and many vendors (food, crafts, etc.).
Scale & purpose: Riverfest draws around 30,000 and serves as a major fundraiser for the River Reach Foundation, supporting park improvements like shade structures and playground upgrades.
Special theme: This year’s theme, “Flowing Through Time,” celebrates multiple milestones (U.S. 250th anniversary, Farmington’s 125th, and Riverfest’s 40th).
Community involvement: Volunteers and sponsors are encouraged to participate, and attendees are advised to plan ahead using the event website.
