2 Arrested from Separate Child Porn Investigations

San Juan County Sheriff’s Office ICAC (Internet Crimes against Children) division charged Chad Priddy with three counts of Sexual exploitation of children by distribution of child pornography and one count of Sexual exploitation of children by possession of child pornography.  They also charged Shelby Davis with Sexual exploitation of Children by possession. 

From the San Juan County Sheriff's Office: San Juan County Sheriff’s Office ICAC (Internet Crimes against Children) division charged Chad Priddy with three counts of Sexual exploitation of children by distribution of child pornography and one count of Sexual exploitation of children by possession of child pornography.  They also charged Shelby Davis with Sexual exploitation of Children by possession. 

 

On February 12, 2015, Deputies attached to ICAC were conducting investigations into the sharing of child pornographic images online.  Deputies were able to identify that child phonography was being downloaded to an address in Farmington, NM.  A search warrant was executed on March 12, 2015 in the area of the 3500 block of Sierra Vista Dr.  37 year-old Chad Priddy was identified as the suspect.  The investigation revealed that Chad Priddy had downloaded numerous images and videos of child pornography.  During an interview with Priddy he admitted to possessing hundreds of images of child pornography, he also admitted he knew his files were being shared with other users.

On November 24, 2015, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Chad Priddy.  He was arrested is being held at San Juan County Detention Center on a $50,000.00 cash only bond.

On April 7, 2015, Deputies attached to ICAC received a Cyber-Tip that Shelby Davis was downloading child pornography. The investigators knew that Shelby Davis was currently on probation with New Mexico Adult Probation/Parole.  Shelby Davis was Plead guilty on 12/10/12 on two counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration (child 13-16).  Deputies meet with Shelby at the probation office. During an interview Shelby admitted to using his cell phone to view to download child pornography.   Shelby was taken into custody by probation/parole since he was using the internet which was a violation of his probation.  Further investigation revealed that Shelby Davis was downloading child pornography on his cell phone using email address he kept hidden from his probation officer.  A search warrant was issued for the email address.  The email showed several hundred attachments that contained child pornography.

On November 24, 2015, a warrant was issued for Shelby Davis.  Shelby was served the warrant at San Juan County Dentation Center where he was still being held for the probation violation.  Shelby’s bond was set at $5,000.00.
