From Farmington Police:

Farmington Police Department and San Juan College will be holding an active shooter emergency drill on Monday, October 30, on the San Juan College Farmington campus, specifically at the San Juan College High School and San Juan College Library. This drill will create a crisis situation that will require an emergency response at the department level for the participants.

The drill will begin at 9:00 a.m. with an armed suspect firing blanks in the courtyard outside of the entrance to San Juan College High School.  The drill will end about 10 a.m.

Personnel from San Juan College and Farmington Police Department have been planning for this drill for several weeks. The drill will be very lifelike and will allow the various agencies and departments to prepare for a possible crisis situation.

At San Juan College, the initial staging area will be in the courtyard area outside of the entrance to San Juan College High School.
