One Dead, Suspects Arrested after Farmington Shooting

Around 9:00 p.m. last night, officers responded to a reported shooting at Gooding Lane and West Main Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the San Juan Regional Medical Center. The deceased's name will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Around 9:00 p.m. last night, officers responded to a reported shooting at Gooding Lane and West Main Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries after being
transported to the San Juan Regional Medical Center. The deceased's name will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Utilizing the Real Time Crime Center, law enforcement apprehended the suspects within 25 minutes of the incident.

The Farmington Police Department is now seeking information from the community. We urge anyone with information or witnesses to contact the Investigations Division at 505-599-1068.

This remains an active homicide investigation; further information will be released as it becomes available.

Suspect Arrested after Sexual Assault

During the investigation, officers learned that a male and female who knew each other had been in the area of the disc golf course. Neither individual was a student or staff member of San Juan College. The female victim reported that an altercation occurred between her and the male, Tyson Saggboy. She reported that Saggboy battered her, removed her clothing, and strangled her before fleeing the scene.
