New Mexico state health officials on Thursday announced 999 additional COVID-19 cases. Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:
- 304 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 28 new cases in Chaves County
- 17 new cases in Cibola County
- 4 new cases in Colfax County
- 23 new cases in Curry County
- 4 new cases in De Baca County
- 94 new cases in Doña Ana County
- 25 new cases in Eddy County
- 19 new cases in Grant County
- 4 new cases in Guadalupe County
- 2 new cases in Hidalgo County
- 13 new cases in Lea County
- 2 new cases in Lincoln County
- 12 new cases in Los Alamos County
- 9 new cases in Luna County
- 35 new cases in McKinley County
- 5 new cases in Mora County
- 16 new cases in Otero County
- 2 new cases in Quay County
- 25 new cases in Rio Arriba County
- 5 new cases in Roosevelt County
- 81 new cases in Sandoval County
- 98 new cases in San Juan County

The Department of Health on Thursday reported seventeen additional deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19:
Fourteen recent deaths:
- A female in her 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual had underlying conditions.
- A male in his 60s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A female in her 70s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A female in her 80s from Bernalillo County. The individual had underlying conditions.
- A second female in her 80s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A female in her 90s from Bernalillo County. The individual was hospitalized.
- A male in his 80s from Cibola County. The individual had underlying conditions.
- A female in her 40s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A female in her 70s from Doña Ana County. The individual had underlying conditions.
- A male in his 70s from McKinley County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A female in her 90s from McKinley County. The individual had underlying conditions and was a resident of the Beehive Homes in Gallup.
- A male in his 30s from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized.
- A male in his 60s from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
- A male in his 80s from Valencia County. The individual had underlying conditions.
Three* deaths > 30 days:
- A male in his 60s from Bernalillo County.
- A male in his 80s from Bernalillo County.
- A female in her 70s from Valencia County. The individual had underlying conditions and was a resident of the Belen Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Belen.
The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 6,746.
*COVID related deaths are reported when a death certificate has been issued and some death certificates are delayed due to insufficient information.

As of today, there are 427 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico. One Dead after RV Fire in Flora Vista
Around 3:40 am, Sunday, November 9, San Juan County Fire & Rescue was dispatched to reports of a structure fire on Road 3546 in Flora Vista. San Juan County Fire & Rescue responded with mutual aid from the Bloomfield Fire Department.
Crews arrived to find an RV on fire and the occupant still inside. Despite a quick response from fire crews, the RV was a total loss, and an occupant was found dead after the fire was extinguished.

Dineh Benally Pleads Guilty to Charges from Illegal Marijuana Farms
According to court documents, from approximately January 2018 to November 2020, Benally, 48, and his co-conspirators established over 30 farms, covering more than 400 acres, on land obtained from Navajo Nation members. To fund this illegal enterprise, Benally and a co-conspirator traveled to California and created front companies to solicit Chinese investors. These investors were charged cash fees ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 for counterfeit cannabis cultivation licenses.
