Farmington residents are getting engaged in their local government, but some old news seems to be making new headlines today!

The City of Farmington wants the community to know that an old "Boil Water Alert" Facebook post is being shared by community members. Please note that this post is from last year (September 14, 2014) and that we are NOT under any kind of boil water advisory!  We suspect this may be a "Facebook Memory" from a year ago and is being shared again by well-intending community members who have "liked" the City of Farmington Facebook page.

The City of Farmington appreciates the support and engagement of the community when getting news out, but wants to encourage the public to be mindful of dates and make sure they are current before sharing information.   The City of Farmington's Facebook page is a public forum and community members are encouraged to comment and interact with information posted.
