Gunshot hits Passing Vehicle, Suspect Sought

At approximately 7:35 a.m today, Farmington police were dispatched to West Apache Street in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived they learned that a man stepped out of a trailer house located in the Apache Country Home Village and fired a shot which struck a van traveling by. The man then went back inside the trailer. The van was occupied by four people. No one was injured during the incident.

UPDATE ON APACHE STREET SHOOTING:
Police are still investigating this morning's incident. A male, female and one child exited the trailer where the suspect was reported to have entered. The residence was searched; no other individuals were found inside. The investigation is on-going and detectives are conducting interviews. We will provide updates as they become available.

West Apache Street is now open to all traffic.
