High Water: Riverfest Moves to "Plan B"

Rocky Reach Landing, Berg East, Archway Court along with the area around the Red Barn and Nature center are closed for Riverfest.

Because of projected high flows in the Animas River for the next several weeks, the River Reach Foundation has announced changes for Farmington's Riverfest celebraton which will take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 26, 27 & 28, 2023.

The areas in red, Rocky Reach Landing, Berg East, Archway Court along with the area around the Red Barn and Nature center are closed for Riverfest.  All events taking place in those areas are being moved to Berg West at the River Reach Terrace and over to Boyd Park, the area marked in green.  The bands that play at Rocky Reach Landing along with the food trucks and the beer and wine garden will be moved to Boyd Park .  The One Nation Gourd dance is moved to the Indian Center and the children's activities have been moved to the river Reach Terrace over by the splash pad and playground by Scott Avenue.

The recycle fashion show and Peruvian flute player will be moved to the Courtyard by Marriott courtyard.  In the Boyd Park area, Miller street will be closed between Pinon and Corcoran and there is ample parking in the large dirt lot along Miller Street next to the Desert River Guides building.  The car show is also at Boyd Park.
