Man Arrested for Fruitland Murder

 Following verbal arguments at the house of Adrian Begay (age 45), De Andre Julian (age 23) left with his girlfriend, Adrian Begay’s daughter, Adriana Begay (age 21) to a nearby residence. Adrian Begay followed them to the exterior of the residence when De Andre Julian produced a handgun and shot Adrian Begay multiple times in the chest at close range.

On Sunday, 6/22/2025, at approximately 2:30 pm, deputies responded to a call reporting shots had been fired at a residence in Fruitland, NM.

 Following verbal arguments at the house of Adrian Begay (age 45), De Andre Julian (age 23) left with his girlfriend, Adrian Begay’s daughter, Adriana Begay (age 21) to a nearby residence. Adrian Begay followed them to the exterior of the residence when De Andre Julian produced a handgun and shot Adrian Begay multiple times in the chest at close range.

 De Andre Julian fled the scene with Adriana Begay and were apprehended by responding deputies a few hundred yards away from the scene. Although deputies and EMS provided life saving measures to Adrian Begay, he was pronounced dead on the scene. De Andre Julian was taken into custody.

 De Andre Julian has been charged with the following:

Murder (2nd Degree Felony)

Tampering with Evidence (3rd Degree Felony)

 The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office has requested a no-bond hold on De Andre Julian. No further information is available at this time.
