San Juan County crews responded in mutual aid and found a house on fire. The fire was kept from spreading beyond the structure, but the house was a total loss. There was one person injured and transported to the hospital.

Just after 3:30 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, Aztec Fire Department was called to reports of a structure fire in the 700 block of McCoy Avenue in Aztec.
San Juan County crews responded in mutual aid and found a house on fire. The fire was kept from spreading beyond the structure, but the house was a total loss.
There was one person injured and transported to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
