KSJE Will Broadcast the 2021 Connie Mack World Series

The Connie Mack World Series has a new home on the radio and will now be heard on KSJE FM. 

            Starting in 2021, the Connie Mack World Series Committee has partnered with KSJE 90.0 FM and San Juan College to broadcast the 2021 Connie Mack World Series. The broadcasts will be anchored by the same broadcast team who have been covering the World Series for the last two decades. Kirk Carpenter, Mark Strickland, Don Lorett, and Keith Neil lead award-winning broadcast teams to bring you every pitch, hit, and out from Ricketts Park. 

            The broadcasts will be heard on 90.9 FM in Farmington, 103.3 FM in Durango and around the world streaming at KSJE.com. 

            KSJE General Manager Scott Michlin jumped at the chance to secure the broadcasts in 2021. "At KSJE, our mission is the community and we are proud to be the new home of the Connie Mack World Series," said Michlin. "The diverse programming on KSJE is only improved with the addition of Connie Mack sports broadcasts."

            A community-supported radio station, KSJE is licensed to San Juan College and has been on the air since 1990.

            The Connie Mack World Series has been played in Farmington, NM since 1965, with the exception of 2020 when the World Series was cancelled by coronavirus pandemic concerns. 

            In 2021, the Connie Mack World Series will return to Rickett's Park July 23 through July 31.

  • Waterflow Fire Kills 1

     Crews arrived to find a camp trailer on fire and one occupant still inside. Another occupant was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and has since been released. Despite a quick response from fire crews, one occupant was found dead in the trailer after the fire was extinguished.  The name of the deceased is not yet released.

     The FMS Board of Education authorized school security personnel to carry firearms on school premises during their January 9, 2024, meeting. The move paved the way for the hiring of Armed Campus Safety Monitors (ACSMs), former certified law enforcement officers tasked with providing an additional layer of protection for students and staff during emergencies.

  • City Breaks Ground on Pinon Hills Extension

    Farmington Officials gathered with representatives from the NM Department of Transportation and San Juan County to break ground on the long-anticipated Pinon Hills Boulevard Extension Project. San Juan County announced that design work on their section of the project is 90% completed.

  • Back to Bloomfield: Summers Selected as New Superintendent

    Kevin Summers will be returning to the Bloomfield School District as Superintendent, after the retirement of Dr. Kim Mizell at the end of the current school year. Summers' hire makes an opening in the Superintendent's Office in Aztec where he has served for the past three years.
