Police Arrest Suspect Accused of Multiple Crimes
The suspect, Fidel Curtis (26), is accused of committing numerous crimes, including auto burglaries, a commercial burglary, larceny, theft, unlawful use of debit and credit cards, criminal damage to property, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and driving while license revoked.
City Manager Mayes to Retire
Mayor Duckett has announced his intention to appoint Deputy City Manager Shaña Reeves as the next City Manager at the upcoming City Council “organizational meeting” on January 20. Upon her appointment, if ratified by the City Council, Reeves will officially assume the duties of City Manager in January.
